What To Do In The Meantime
First, don’t turn off the Poly Studio. It goes into a low-power mode when not in use, but if it must be turned off, keep the remote handy and accessible to conference room users. When powered on or plugged in, first check the volume level of the Poly Studio with the remote before beginning any meeting, especially with remote users as you won’t be able to hear them. Periodically, check in with us to find out if there are any firmware updates available to fix this issue.
What is a Poly Studio?
The Poly Studio setup is almost an all-in-one solution for video conferencing. It has a good, wide angle lens camera to capture all meeting participants. It has a microphone array that does an excellent job of isolating and capturing the sound coming from the voices in the meeting. And lastly, it has two stereo speakers to hear remote participants clearly. But it isn’t just a camera, microphone and speakers; it can also auto-frame the speaker in a meeting. In addition, it works with a variety of devices via a single USB cable – making any huddle room instantly functional.

What is a Barco ClickShare?
The Barco ClickShare allows any user to cast their display wirelessly, as well as use any USB peripherals plugged into the base station (which is typically hidden behind the display). There’s a USB dongle that does all of this with just the push of a button. If the device is also on the same local network, you can skip the dongle and use the software to do all the casting. In an ideal environment, a meeting presenter just needs to bring their laptop into a smart huddle room to run a meeting that includes remote users – assuming their laptop has at least 1 USB type C port or is on the local network.
