We have an immediate opening for a full time position for an Automation Programmer. In this position, you will provide design and program support to successfully develop and improve software systems, including tablet deployments to be used in small to medium-sized companies. You will also provide assistance to engineering and sales staff in tasks, including development and updates for existing ERP program, research, customer support, web deployment, IPAD deployment and other related tasks.
Primary functions will include, but are not limited to:
- Help design and develop software for small to medium-sized businesses. This will include web based and PC based programs. Languages include VBA, MVC3, SQL and MS Access DB’s will be used.
- Support current and future customer needs for web, program debugging and user training.
- Occasionally meet with customers and prospects to discuss new projects.
- Work on special projects as they relate to the position.
- Meet customer and internal deadlines.
- Competent to work most phases of application systems analysis / programming activities.
- Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
Job Qualifications
- Some college level education or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and timelines in a team setting.
- Previous customer support experience.
- Experience using Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Access.
- VBA programming skills to improve interface and maintain existing customer database systems.
- Experience in VB.Net programming with a focus on SharePoint and Active Directory interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and define system scope and objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with others in a team environment.
